Travel Planning

Getting to Union Island

Union Island is in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and has its own airport. Most guests route through Barbados or St. Vincent, then connect by local flight or ferry.

Option 1

International flight to Barbados, then Union Island.

Many guests first fly to Barbados, then take a short inter-island flight to Union Island, commonly with SVG Air or another local operator. This can be the most direct route, but the small connecting flight should be checked before finalizing long-haul travel.

If online availability looks limited, contact the local airline directly. Small-island booking systems do not always show every practical option.

Option 2

International flight to St. Vincent, then local flight or ferry.

Guests can also fly to Argyle International Airport in St. Vincent, then continue to Union Island by local flight, often checked with SVG Air, or by ferry. Depending on arrival time and schedule, an overnight in St. Vincent may be needed.

The ferry can be possible, but schedules change and the journey can take much of the day. Confirm ferry and local flight details before booking the international portion of the trip.

Before Booking

Confirm the small connection first.

Schedules can change. Weather can affect inter-island travel. Guests should also check passport, entry, return-ticket, and proof-of-accommodation requirements based on nationality.

Barbados Route

Best for many guests who want the most direct island connection.

St. Vincent Route

Useful when international flights to St. Vincent fit better, with local flight or ferry onward.

Special Cases

Private flights from Martinique may be possible in limited situations, but this is not the default route and luggage can be restricted.
